This may be a really crazy question, but I have to ask. :? When installing rear lowering springs (variable) on an XB, does it matter what way they are put in? With the tighter pitch up top or tighter pitch on the bottom. I have heard that the "spring" doesn't care which way it is put in, but what is the standard way? I appreciate it guys (and girls):)

What springs are you running? I had this issue with my Tanabe DF210s. The best way is to check the print on the side of the spring if there is any. The standard is with the tighter pitch on top, but I know from experience this does not always hold true.

best springs out there. i miss the sprints but theyre gettin hard to come by and from what i've heard they no longer sag so a 2.0 inch drop is exactly that not a 2.5 like they used to be.

I will post some pictures this week.. also... that to Justin (biohazardous customz) for offering some assistance with the install....

Mine are white too, but they go in tight coil on bottom. Just check the print on the side of the spring- (says 'Japan DF210'). I called Tanabe to confirm this and they said it was right.

That is what i thought when I saw the spring(tight coil on bottom)... because the writing was set this way (Japan df210).... yet i have always seen it with the tighter coil on the top. So Tanabe said tighter coil on the bottom? hummmm..

UPDATE....
Called Tanabe... real helpful and courteous.. the gentleman told me that on those particular springs the tighter coils are on the bottom. You should be able to read the "japandf210" when installed....
Thanks drizzle...

I haven't installed them yet. Planning on Wednesday (with Justin's help). I will definately post pictures Wednesday night. I just wanted to be sure it was done right. Honestly, i would have put them in upside down based on what I have seen done, but I was concerned when i saw thought the writing would be upside down...
Thanks hotbox05 & the drizzle....
