My buddy at the dealership uses a high pressure washer on the engine bay and several chemicals then dries it off with an air hose. comes out clean.

I use a degreaser from the auto shop for my engine and a regular hose. Detail with an old toothbrush and some micro fibers. I use meguiars quick detailer for the hoses and such. I use mothers polish on my exhaust.

meguiars quick detailer for my exhaust (trd) and pledge for my engine bay...i know it sounds crazy but it actually does work. i do mine at least once a month and after you do it the first time it just prevents more dirt from sticking, so its much easier every other time you do it...all you really have to do is just take a cloth and wipe it down.

Yes this is true. Guess I should have mentioned this. Always wait for parts to cool down before you put any type of cleaner on them because it may discolor them.

pledge has silicone in it. so if you ever decide to paint anything in your engine bay, your going to have issues. The silicone has to be removed before you paint it. Just like some car waxes have silicone in it too.
