Default LED Swap?

I have done some research on the LED Swap and realized I would absolutely murder my car if I tried it since I have no soldering experience.

Any local shops do this and what are the places I can buy the kits from to make mine blue. I saw that you needed resistors and everything.

Thanks in advance

I don't know of anyone that's local that provides this service. Garage1217 sells kits and also offers to install them with a lot of options. He's in the southwest though. I believe he can send out a gauge cluster for you to temporarily use while he does the swap, then overnight your cluster back to you.

Others on Scionlife offer swapping the LEDs provided you ship your gauges to them.

I have solder training, but haven't really done a lot of soldering. If I had the proper tools and the patience, I would have done mine by now. I might give it a shot soon.

Thanks. I saw that after searching. WHich btw produces a lot of results that are unrelated.

I contacted garage 1217, but I do prefer to walk into a local shop or have somone locally do it to ensure I get it back, and less downtime on my car.

I am pretty sure if someone locally did this, they would make a killing.

PM Scionkidd.

His brother does LED Swaps. He's supposed to do mines sometime soon. He lives in Germantown MD, so its pretty close to Sterling.

The search function here has always been horrible, even though most of the people on scionlife yell at people to use it. I've found google produces better results.

go to google.com, type in your search string (ex: LED swap), and add "site:www.scionlife.com" to the end of the search string

for example, when you're on google.com, type the following:
LED swap site:www.scionlife.com

it may bring up results that contain "LED" or "swap". If you want to narrow it down to only provide results with both words, put quotes around what you want google to search for.

ex: "LED swap" site:www.scionlife.com

I know of a guy in MD who does LED work but charges $35 an hour for work. I would almost rather send them out for that price

I have PM'd people and used search and PM'd some people from threads I found 2years ago. So far no response from anyone and it has been more than a week. I even googled search. Is there anyone else? Or does anyone know where I can get this done at?

If another person says use the horrible search button I will kill kittens. Please save the kittens.
