my experience with lucas trans oil (having tried a few different viscosities) in my '04 manual is that my shifter rattles at idle, my trans groans at the green light, and my reverse sounds like a manual jeep wrangler backing up a steep hill

I like Lucas oils.. but I have only used the products in my american, V8 rear wheel drive type cars (I miss my LT1 Caprice).. no idea here..

 

I wouldn't risk it. The Toyota Tech IV is already a synthetic blend. Just change it every 30-40 K and let the trans live a normal life.

Correct me if Im wrong here....you can use it in your auto trans and manual too...I dont think so. I have used the auto stuff in high mileage GM autos with some sucess. Why does one have to reinvent the wheel? The Toyota trannies are pretty good stock...no?
