Default New pics of HWY BOX (tcm 06) New Falken 512 tires

Here is some newer pics got some new Falken 512s and I plus sized to a 195/60r15, no rubbing and these have great grip and good treadwear. My factory Goodyears were just about done at 22k miles.

Nice, should be like night and day for traction and cornering compared to the Goodyears!

I didn't like the Goodyears. I only kept mine on for about the first 2k miles. Then I ordered alloy wheels and tires, same size as stock. I went with the asymmetric Avid TRZ instead of directional so I could put them in any position. My wife's car had directional tires and the dealer once rotated them so two were running backwards! I can't imagine how messed up it would have been if she'd driven in the rain like that.

Default directional ZeX512s vs. rotations

Just had to replace a pair of the 512s on my 05 TCM toaster (I do a 205/55x15). At that size, these are great tires IMO--decent handling, good turn-in response, quiet, 360 treadwear, AA ratings, just great spring/summer/fall shoes. ***NOT good once the snow and ice starts, tho. Put on Michelin X-Ice in 195/65x15 for the white stuff***

Incidentally, the DiscounTire guys said even tho OEM eagles were 29 psi, their computer recommends only 26 psi for the 205s. So I'll try that to see how the ride quality/mpg balance works out.

BTW, for anyone who wants to be able to rotate LEFT-to-RIGHT as well as traditional front-to-back, Falken has an updated version of the 512. It's called the 912, and the only thing that kept me from choosing those was the fact that they lack the older 512's rim-protector/rub-strip around the bead (a feature which has saved my alloys from some damage several times).[/i]

yea there is no reason to stretch a smaller tire on there my wheels are 15x7" the tire fit perfectly. If and when I get new rims 15x8" hopefully I'll prob go with like a 195/50r15 so I dont rub so much, and I like the look.
