Default Goodbye XA, Hello Xb

Yup, traded it for an 09 xb. Fun car, loaded with a most every scion accessory. Now a much roomier car, way more power and a very responsible automatic. My dad kept calling it an ice box on wheels. I bet him if he sat in the drivers seat he could not reach the petals. Yup, he could not reach the petals, more leg room than the 240d I use to own, which he gave me.

Sir, this car has enough power for 3 xas. I think the design team used these 3 comments when designing the xb2.
1, it needs more power than a moped
2, it needs room for 5 full size adults
3, the automatic transmission needs to enhance performance, not hinder it.

Right now just planning fogs, trd sway. Then the other scion accessories, lower it, maybe some FREE matrix wheels and tires same size 7 spoke and a decent alarm with rke and remote start.

This car reminds me of the toyota tundra test drive at last years state fair. Plenty of power and a transmission that upshifts at the slight load of the engine vs WOT.

Good for you! Your gonna miss the MPG big time though. Other than that I think you will really enjoy your 2nd GenxB.

What color is it? Any pics?

Its a white one, I havent taken any photos as it just looks like the rest, no hood scoupe, fancy wheels, wing, etc and it already came with tinted rear windows.

I really needed more space, however I wont know anything about my fuel economy, but it seems to range online from 17-35mpg. Its really truck like and the faster you drive the better it handles. The interior room is unbelievable, I have to bend forward to adjust the rear mirror where as in the xa I was always bending my head to look under it.

How's the visibility from it? Can you see better via the rear-view mirror than you could in the xA?

I've found that even with a wide-angle mirror there still some serious blind spots in the xA. (btw, totally agree about the mirror blocking the view )

That is prob. due to you not getting the whole package. I bought the Convex rear view side mirrors and I have 100% no blind spots now. I believe it will be that was with most cars without convex side mirrors and wide rear view.

It's deceiving that there is allot of room in the xA because it's a hatchback. In truth the only real room is headroom. 1st Gen xB has more room. It was a surprise to me. Hehe I owned a 2003 Ford Expedition so believe me I know what having allot of room is like.

I still love my xA. I like being low and small. I like not having allot of room in the back seats cause I can say no to giving rides hehe. But I also like the 2nd Gen xB. Potentially some great mods can be done to it. Stock is yuk, but I feel that way about almost every stock scion.

That's what all the guys driving Lexus/Infiniti say with auto . You one of those that make fun of people with Air over Coilovers?

Not trying to be argumentative or anything, just seems like an out of the blue thing you said and kind of way out there. I mean I could argue that manual trans is for those that can't afford Auto But I can see it;'s not a money issue with you since your car is boosted

I hated the 3rd brake light as it blocked your rear view as I always drive with my eye in the mirror. THe side mirros were fine and I added small dish mirrors to cover the blink spots and see well to parallel park when I had to do that. I have them in the xb too.

The room is great, I dont have the aches and pains in my hips, knees, ankles like I normally do. Nice to just sit back and listen to the poor sounding speakers and not worry about shifting.

coryjames, If you know of women who are 6 foot 5, 300 pounds who drive autos, give them my number.
I have to say its auto shifts the best Ive driven. No lag at all and I have drive both yaris, carolla, jeep commander, matrix s awd and prius. This car is up there with the nissan morano I drove that had the cvc tranny.

Thanks, you guys seem really human. Ive tried posting other there with no luck. I just want to start this car off right and wanted more info on where to get a clear bra and price as I dont like the looks of any of the bras. My xa chipped like a mother on the mirrors and hood. Does it include an alarm system or just rke as I cant find a way to trigger the alarm like on my xa and would want an aftermarket one. 200 miles on half a tank, cant wait til I refill to find fuel economy.
