Default Hood Heat Shield/Liner

Does anyone know where I can buy a hood heat shield for the tC?

I have a vented Seibon CF hood and need to have the shield cut to fit the underside of the hood and around the vent.

I don't want to cut the shield that came with the stock hood cause I'm keeping it with the original hood.

Possible to get from TRD sparks.com.

also check your local wrecking yards.

its best if you have one...carbon fiber isnt very heat resistant and will eventually start to bend and warp if put under it a lot. im getting my heat shield put back up on my CF hood soon too...

not totally required, but good to have.

Early this summer we did a buddies liner and it made a huge differance in the amount of heat soaking into the hood and it looks a lot cleaner too.

I checked TRD Sparks and it doesn't look like they carry them...probably a specialty item.

I might check some wrecking yards to see if they have any extra hoods.

Any other suggestions?

I'd suggest making your own, as companies such as Dynamat have been making the appropriate materials for many years, so it's really easy to do.

Here are a couple examples, but if you shop around you can likely save money;
Cascade VB-TS Thermo-Acoustic Hoodliner
Cascade VB-TSM Engine Box Liner

You basically just cut the stuff to shape then peel & stick, same as adding damping materials inside the car.
