Well i got my i/h/e setup on and love it but its l;ouuuddd lol.. I have a aero resonater to put on but the shop wouldnt work on it cus i have no cat converter.. I was wondering if i can just take the piwpece of pipe off i want the resonater on and bring it to another shop to have it welded on.. Also whats the best place for it on the actual axleback itself on the piping, or on the bended pipe connecting the midpipe to the axleback.. lol thanks

 

the ideal place is to put it on the midpipe. theres prolly no room on the axleback and i dont see how you're gonna fit a resonator on the spipe either. so midpipe would be a good place with lots of room. also most shops dont like to mess with cars without a cat because its illegal. So yea, bringing the midpipe itself isnt a bad idea. just tell them its not your daily driver and some offroad car.

 

why not just have a cat put on while they are installing the resonator, that ways everything is nice a legal and it will sound even better.

just shop around, somebody will do it, it isn't really that illegal. it is like tint shops tinting cars way beyond the legal limit, they don't get in trouble, the car's owner does.

 

what like a high flow cat that would make it legal?? also which is the midpipe theres two pipes between the s pipe and the axleback one already has the built in res., and the other connecting to the exhaust with a couple wiggly bedns lol.. thanks

 

Take it to another exhaust shop, ive never heard of an exhaust shop that wouldnt work on a car without cats.

i have a fujita CAI and i just bought megan racing headers and a megan axleback exhaust, should i buy a resonatoer and if yes then where would i put it

do u think the aero ar25 resonator would be good enough and is it possible to install urself

 

I would suggest getting a magnaflow high flow cat, and a 24"-30" resonator. Take it to a shop and have them installed in your mid pipe.
I just finished putting back in my high flow cat after running it for 3 weeks with just the resonator and it was loud and smelled with out the cat.

Also like many say "oh just go get two 18" resonators and you'll be fine", I wouldn't recommend it. I listened to the many, that have prolly no idea what they are talking about, and had a hell of a time making it work. I basically just rebuilt my entire exhaust last night.

I think the longest resonator they sell is 24", but that should work fine. and high flow cat. You might want to go to an exhaust shop first, find out what pipe size. unless you know what your working with.

 

I'm thinking of having 2 mid pipes w/ no axle-back.

1 will have a high flow cat, maybe a resonator, and a muffler

the other will be just a straight through pipe (maybe with a muffler or resonator)

I have a friend who works for a shop and will fab the 3" pipes if I supply materials.

My goal in running a straight pipe and one with a cat, resonator and/or muffler was to have one setup for better power and one that should pass emissions when it comes time for my car to do so (in AZ its 5 years past the model year, so 2013)
