This must be the part of that thread you are talking about:

So I guess there isn't a aftermarket ebrake handle mod? If there is can you get me a link to some?

That was the important part, but I also wanted you to see how the whole thread about the E-brake handle progressed.

dremel the rubber part off and your done. Honestly its probably not a worthwhile mod so save yourself the time and effort.
