well i did this a couple months ago
but now started squeaking
dealership said belt was a lil too big

i asked for K060739 at kragen auto parts
they gave me K060740
but when i had pulley put on the mechanic said belt was too small so he ordered K060750
but now thats too big

i know on the NST website says to get K060735 for 08 xb
but if k060740 was to small that is going to be way to small

im thinking i need K060747 its a 1/4" smaller than what i got

Yeah I had the same issue. The one the site says was to small. I don't remember what belt I had to go get. Sorry.

yea i know, well i got a place that ordered the same length belt nst says to use, but its the 7 rib like we actually need...

so hope its not too small, what a nightmare...

and has anybody put on a nst alternator pulley on there gen 2 cause it has a clutch on the stock one, and it threads on, and im being told it will work, but theres no clutch on it, and it just slides on and bolts up, i have a tc and have put on the full kit on my but this is my bros xb im doin and its kindof a pain lol...

I'm stuck putting the belt on too. Not happy either. I got the belt they listed on their site and it seems too small to even go on.

And if you are ordering a 7rib belt for the NST crank pulley you will be ordering another belt again. As far I I know all of the NST crank pulleys are for 6 rib pulleys. Pretty odd as I have never had a company do that before.......but so far all of the mods are odd for the scion compared to other brands I have had.

yea im actually very disappointed in nst, i have there kit on my tc and it was great, and oddly enough my crank pulley from them is a 7 rib like it should be...

but... the ud crank pulley we put on my bros xb is a 6 rib, yet the alternator pulley with it is a 7 rib, wtf? and there belt size info is so off its rediculous, almost like they just assumed since the gen 2 xb and the tc share the same motor it is all the same... well its not, and i still dont get the alternator pulley deal, i hit mike up on aim about it and he said it works, yet the stock one has a clutch and theres doesnt which doesnt sound safe, not to mention the stock one threads on and theres just slips on and with a nut, which the xb doesnt have...

so i spent all day searching for the proper belt, and after about 8 purchase attempts i got it...

first i tried the number they have, took it home and saw it was a 6 rib and original is 7 rib, so i took it back and ordered a 7 rib the same size, which came in today...

so i went and picked it up and attempted to put it on then realized the crank pulley is only a 6 rib, so i had to return it and go get the first belt i bought, only to take it home and find its WAAY too short, so i go back and got a belt thats 74.4" instead of the 73.5" they say it requires, took it home, and guess what... it was still too short... and so i wanted to try a 74.7" gates belt, and after calling ten stores nobody had one in stock til next wednesday, so i just ended up having to get a gatorback, and it finally fit...

took me all day of driving around and searching to get the right belt, nedless to say im a little upset with how misinformed they are on the gen 2 xb package...

so the belt needed for the ud crank pulley on a gen 2 xb should be...

GATES PART# K060747
WHICH IS A 6 RIB 74.7" SERPENTINE BELT...

hope this helps others from the headache ive had...[/b]

I finally got it also after 5 attemps. Just had to be the most expensive belt too...

The last belt I tried last night was K060747 and it was too small also. I could have stretched it on but it would have not been too good for the belt or tensioner.

Today I got k06750 / 6K750 and it fit perfectly.

But after all of that I'm happy. Definately a good mod, just got to return the belt back to NST.

I just put on a lightened pulley. It's the same size as stock, so you can use the same belt. It's 2lbs 9oz lighter then the stock one, I weighed them.
Took me about 30 mins to do the swap. Can tell a little difference from the way it revs when you hit the gas. Revs up a little bit faster.

I have installed pulleys on almost every car I owned and like them alot. It is a cheap and easy mod with benefits in both drivability and power.

I have never seen a company sell the belt seperately and I never had to hunt for a belt because it the one they list/offer for additional price is wrong. Every kit I have every got came with the belt, instructions and has been proven to work.

You can definately feel the difference with the pulley. Throttle feels lighter, engine revs faster and the DSC light comes on more ofter.

I'd say it is worth it since the guess work is done.

The tC belt size you need is a K060744 but mine squealed a bit earlier today. I'm gonna go see if there's one in between the K060735 (NST says this size) and the one I have on now. The NST one was maybe an inch from goin on the pulley.

I tried getting the Gates Belt # K060747 but Advanced Auto had to do a parts interchange for a Dayco 5060744. I tried that one and it wasn't even close to fitting so I went back and hand measured and esitmated the fit with a Dayco 5060755. Seemed a little bigger and just enough to fit. Went back home and she fit right on there. Perfect fit.
