Here's a question for you..

If the ECU learns everytime it's reset, then why not reset the ecu, then run the car super hard until it learns? Seems like it would work yeah?


But on the other hand, it prolly setup to only lean out a certain amount.. actually thinking about it even more, probably wont lean anything out.. and will only allow you to run a certain amount of timing as well.

sorry for my rambling.. i just read about a JDM standalone that constantly learns everysingle time you drive, and you can save the settings..

Not true.
If you run the car hard after ECU reset, it only result with no significant improvement in gain power but super poor MPG. The engine only run incorrectly rich gas/air mixture. I tried that. if you want to improve MPG without any addition cost, simply reset the ECU in a hot summer day or do it at any place where is couple thousands feet above sea. It will fool the ECU to run lean mixture.
