Default where do the stock subwoofer speaker wires hook up to?

hey guys

i was just wondering where in the car does the speaker wires for the stock 08+ subwoofer (or RS sub) hook up to the front speaker wires. i don't really wanna tear my whole car apart looking for it.

reason i wanna find it is i was thinking about disconnecting them from the front speaker wires and extending them with rca leads and hooking them directly in to my head unit. so i would have the ability to adjust the subwoofer by itself on my f90bt head unit.

if anyone could help me locating where they hook up to that would be great

thanks

and while Im at it, does any one know why set the sub up to recieve its signal from the fronts rather than the rears? I feel like the rears would be more biased toward bass notes, so why doesnt the sub get its signal from there?

hmmmmm the only downfall i see in this, is that speaker wire is a high level input. And now your making it into a low level by connecting RCA's to it. There by sending a lower current threw the wire and thus making it less audible.

Cant help you on where the connection is sorry.

run rcas from the new head unit down to the back of your car. it will sound a lot better than trying to use the high level input.

its not too hard to get to the back of the head unit and you will not have to worry about wire connections.

simple way to see they are infact hooked up to the front is to fade the speakers to the rear, the sub will go dead.
