Default question about the gen1 maf sensor fitting gen2

would a generation 1 xb short ram intake work on a gen 2? what i mean is, are the piping sizes the same, and would the mass air flow sensor fit in the whole on the pipe from gen1, cuz i have a bunch of old intake piping laying around and wanted to make a custom cold air intake with it, but i need to mount the maf in somewhere along the way. and the gen 1 short ram intake is so damn cheap ($25) on ebay. any info would be greatly appreciated

well i know the tc intake would work but i would need a maf adapter that andode sells. but i wanted to know if the screw holes and main hole size are the same on the gen 1 intake pipe.
