Can i take off the stock header and paint it flat black like i did my heat sheild cover??

I know i can but i was just wondering if anyone has attempted it yet?? I think it look pretty good since i dont plan on buying an aftermarket header? Also can i take off my heat sheild for my header? or will it get hotter in the engine bay? I want to paint my stock header and leave the heat shield off!

And should i paint it flat black or find a white color to paint it??

since your car is white most peps would go w/white but for me i'll go w/a different color theme like red/orange/blue which ever you like most and get your engine cover matching it also that way your engine won't be covered w/black and white

 

Calico coatings in denver NC has a black ceramic coating they can put on your header. It looks sleek and is heat resistent.

They also do Chromecoat which is an aluminum cermanic.
