i just wanted to know what all i need to do to be able to put a turbo kit on my car. it's a 2008, if that matters any. i already have a complete exhaust system. but i know i have to switch my headers for a turbo manifold. i would appreciate it if you could give me some pointers.

Are you going custom or looking for a kit? The kits are bolt on with the removal of your header, not sure if a different intake would be needed or incuded in the kit as well. You'll want to also add a boost and wideband O2 sensor to make sure you don't overboost or run lean, and get it tuned once installed.

If you have a manual, upgrade the clutch plate. If you have an auto, get a transmission oil intercoler. Probably two of the best kits out right now are the Dezod and PTuning ones. The Turbo Toyotas one is also great but there is a long lead time on that one. Greddy makes a mass produced one as well. A few people are selling their Greddy on SL and the club forums look around. Finally, there is the Turbonetics kit, it seems good but check the reviews. Your intercooler pipes are exposed on that one.

Run synthetic oil and for the manual trans, synthetic gear oil. On the autos, the Toyota trans fluid is already synthetic.
