Default Where can I get a new speedo cluster set to mine

I got a spare speedo cluster for a project and I need to know where I will need to take it to get the mileage set correctly when I install it.

honestly just find one that is very close to yours, probably better to find one that is lower but not by much and install it,notate in the owners manual that it has been changed and the milage that it was changed at.dealership is going to charge you a lot.

correction..
the dealer CANNOT program a cluster.

they can however order you one pre-programmed with a set mileage from the FACTORY.

quite a bit of paperwork involved...

finish your prototyping on your spare.. and then do it to your stock one in your car already... it's really the easiest way... and the most practical.

the original is messed up, the dimmer. when you turn the lights on the HVAC lights go off, the new cluster does not.

er..??

so the new cluster doesn't have issues with lighting up the hvac?

that's just odd... (also considering you're experiencing that problem in a 2006 too)

You could've fried the dimmer transistor....

One way to used the spare gauge cluster to swap out the IC on the board
That is if you have air soldering station....

As of now, I haven't diagnose the dimmer circuit well enough for the tC to give you final word..

But similar problem has happend on the Celica..
It was the transistor was shorted and cause the dimmer to malfunction..
So I was able to swap out the dimmer transistor and it got it to work...
It was tidious work, but way cheaper then getting it fixed through dealership....
