Default Toyota called with a purposal...what would you do?

I got a call at work today and it was toyota..... They asked if I would be interested in making some money. They said they cant keep tcs on the lot....and cant seem to get in too many manuals so... He said that If I was interested they would give me 50$ a person who test drives it. I thought he was joking at first and I laughed ...but he didnt. I said no...but he said If I change my mind call him.
I didnt because of one thing...people will run it hard, 2nd WRECK IT with my luck.

Just wondering what you guys would do?....Im not. unless for 30 bucks i can drive them around....well the chics.

since i had the first tC in my area my dealer gave me $200 cash to take my tC to a local car show and sit with it w/their decals on it so people could see one...then they asked if i would be willing to let others drive it..at first i told them only if i could be in the passenger seat while they drove it..they said fine..then i brought up the liability issue if something happened during the test drive..they wanted no part of that and told me since i would be in the car it would be my responsibility..so i'd ask about that first...if you decide to do it get lots of writing from them.

i used to sell cars, and i know most people abused cars when out on test drives. Not always, but alot of times, and especially when it is for younger customers.

If it were me, i wouldn't. You're insurance is not going to cover any such incident. And i'd rather have it that i'm the only one who drives my car.

id say yes , but i would make them sign a contract saying if anything goes wrong they cover all cost's, make the dealer, and the super sign it, and keep a few cops of it, make sure its dated, and make sure you word thing's, so they can not Squeeze out of it..... if they said no, i would NEVER do it.

I sell cars. Everyday I have to tell some idiot to not drop the clutch one of our Z06s or SVT Cobras unless he intends to buy it or pay for the damage. People really abuse cars in test drives.

I would have to say no unless i went w/ them on the test drive, and even then i would have to make sure the dealer would assume responsibility for any damages done. something else to consider is how often they will be using it.

Have all your friends and relatives go up there and go on test drives.

that's quite hilarious a dealer would even consider asking a customer that in the first place!! i'm still laughing! of course you shouldn't let them use your car.. no price could be paid to you for what some crazy driver might do to your car..

Yeah... That sounds shady from the get-go. If they had come to you offering upfront maybe, full insurance coverage, discounts on parts, and a decent wage for pimping your car out... I mean, come on man. You can make 50 bucks a day by driving your car to work, right?

You sure this is a dealership asking you to do this, or a guy who sells cars from his back yard?

Default funny as Hell.....why didnt I think of that

....lol,
Im usually the one thinking of that stuff..I must be slowing down. Im actually gonna look into that. If I tell the dealer ...just until 12 on sat...and have enough family and friends show up to fill in the time...then bingo.
