Default Question about AUX jack and Sirius Radio in an 06 TC

I'm baffled. I have Sirius radio and I just used it for plug and play and it had been working fine, until recently. I live in Harrisburg and lately the reception for ANYTHING has been awful. So, I plugged an AUX line into the center armrest jack and also into the Sirius player itself. My reception problem is totally solved, it's sound awesome, but... only when this is working, there is like a radio hiss coming from somewhere that whenever I start driving (and the car revs) this hiss sound mimics the sound of the revving engine. It's really annoying. Anyone have any clue what this is and if there any way I can get rid of it. I'm out of answers. Thanks for any help.

I've done some research and I think I need to get an FM modulator? Is this true? Anyone? Is this thing on?

I've got an '07 with the same problem. It's alternator noise, but I can't seem to find anyone that knows what to do about it. Some suggested it was a cheap AUX wire, some said it's because the AUX plug is too close to the power source. I've got the FM modulator I took from my other car, but I didn't want to pull the dash apart to install. Anyone out there with a quick and easy solution?

My problem is totally fixed. I bought an FM modulator from Best Buy for $30 and had it installed for another $40. I'm sure it was an easy install and it took the dudes like 10 minutes, but I would rather have them do it than me. I love it now. That's my only advice. Hope you can get yours fixed.
