Default Help! Selection of Correct Turbo Size and Brand

I'm pretty new to the boosted tc forums on here, but i bought a complete dezod kit off a guy and the turbo was no good. the turbine side was cracked or something (took it to a turbo rebuild shop). Anyways im probably gonna get my money back for the turbo i bought. My question is, I would like to buy a new turbo and i really have no clue as to what brand or size is good for a 280-290hp tc with a stock block and a conservative tune around 9 psi? the down pipe i have and manifold are for the t3/t04 from the dezod kit so i think that might limit me somewhat and im looking to stay under $1,000, anyways what are your suggestions??
thanks
-Austin

alright i might try that, pretty much that turbo has been a money pit for me, i know for a fact the seals are bad, and the compressor fins have like 2 chips in them, meaning they need rewelded and balanced and blah..... so i mean i think i might be better off just trying my luck with something new. i looked on the dezod site and i couldnt figure out what turbo actually comes with the kit
