Default Mix-n-Match Lip Kits: 5axis Sides and Rear + ????? Front

I just scored 3/4 (both sides and rear) of a 5axis lip kit on eBay. I got it cheap because it's missing the front lip. My first impulse is to just pick up the 5axis front lip to complete the kit. But, I'm also open to creating a unique look by combining the 5axis sides and rear with another brand front lip. This will be going on my 2009 RS6.0.

I'll go ahead and add a poll to this thread in a minute.

The kits I'm aware of for the xB2 are:

5axis Design - obviously, a good match for the rest of the kit
KenStyle - not sure it will flow well with the 5axis sides and rear
AIT Racing
Bomex - like the look, but fiberglass construction scares me
Razzi

Any others I should consider?

Lucky for me. Sorry you missed out.

Same here. The 5axis kit seems to have it all, clean looks, great fit and durability. I like the look of the Bomex front lip, but am concerned about the durability of a fiberglass front lip. I'm very careful with my car, but it would only take one little mistake to crack that fiberglass front lip.

So, you were the one I was bidding against? haha! Congrats on the purchase! Tbh If I was the one with the missing front bumper, I would just contact 5axis and purchase it with them. Mixing sounds interesting BUT I would rather see a photoshopped pic then playing with my money.

Good luck on your desition!

Thanks. I only bid once, with 2 seconds to go (whew! - cut it a little close that time).

I've been doing a little price checking. I probably haven't found the lowest prices on all the front lips, but just checking the Bomex and Razzi web sites they list their front lips at $310 + shipping (I think it was $40) and $350 + shipping ($125!). According to this thread Bean Garage offers a price of $328 shipped, but that's for a TC Five Axis front lip shipped to a California address. I have an email in to them asking for a quote for the xB front lip kit shipped to Oregon.

Given all the other advantages of the Five Axis kit (looks, fit, durability), if the price is in the same ballpark, I'll most likely go with the Five Axis lip to complete my kit.

Yup, I totallly agree with you on this one. If the 5axis cost is in the same vicinity, then just go for that.

Durability is definitely my #1 choice by all means. I don't think I would be too happy to ride on a 5 axis lip kit + a 2 inch drop without seriously sweating from all the pot-hole drifting (lol) I would have to do in Miami. I hope Oregon's roads arent as bad as down here.

Oregon roads, at least around where I live are very well maintained - we pay a FORTUNE in property taxes for the privilege of having smooth roads. Also, like Florida, the ground doesn't freeze in the winter, so we don't get any frost heave to tear up the roads.

I got a very good price quote of $300 shipped on the Five Axis front lip. So, the decision has become a no brainer. Most durable, best fitting lip at the lowest price. Can't beat that. I'll be placing the order as soon as the rest of my lip kit arrives.

The 5 axis front lip is by far the best one available for the xB2.

thats your pref. I would look into AIT or Extreme Dimensions.

AIT Racing - DL series is a nice looking kit the lines might flow together right and its made of Urethane so your whole kit would be made of the same material.

the Extreme Dimensions Racer kit is similar to the DL series kit but doesnt ride as low. You can get it on fiberglass and Duraflex not to mention if you call direct and tell them you heard of them off of scionlife they shave 20% off the top.

BTW, that price is from Bean Garage and is good through the end of the month. Another one of our site sponsors quoted me a price of $400 delivered. So, $300 shipped is a great price.
