I was wondering if anyone has tried this filter (for the camry) in a tc. Also, would it be almost as good as getting an intake? as far as power is concerned.

BUT, I want to know how people like their k&n because I have read that there is low end power loss (a very very lil bit) --- reply anybody? k&n doesn't show a dyno for their drop in filter for the camry/tc. i imagine it would be a minimal gain (~1-2hp). they do have a dyno for their cai and does show a slight dip in low end power vs the stock filter: http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-8607TB jwaggz82 02-12-2005, 04:36 AM how about the intake that you can get from toyota? I think its the TRD one... i think. Whats the review on that one? Somnambulated 02-12-2005, 04:49 AM The TRD filter is nearly identical to the K&N. They're also the same price, and they both fit the Camry and Toyota Matrix. The difference is noticable, but the factory airbox is kind of a pain to get closed again... Especially since the TRD filter seals so tightly... daewonder 02-25-2005, 06:22 AM i read somewhere that the K&N improved gas mileage. can anyone confirm that? also, what's the part number for the filter? jwaggz82 02-25-2005, 03:27 PM What is the product # for the K&N drop in filter and best place to get it? K&N normally puts jwaggz82 02-25-2005, 03:28 PM ...as i was saying.... K&N normally, always, puts out a quality product. I have always heard from articles that changing your filter to K&N helps the airflow over the stock/restrictive filter. |
