I was wondering if anyone has tried this filter (for the camry) in a tc. Also, would it be almost as good as getting an intake? as far as power is concerned.

ive been asking this for a while. I wanted to know actually how the k&n intake is....... duston831, the filter will not be the same as the intake...i am sure of this. BUT, I want to know how people like their k&n because I have read that there is low end power loss (a very very lil bit) --- reply anybody?

k&n doesn't show a dyno for their drop in filter for the camry/tc. i imagine it would be a minimal gain (~1-2hp). they do have a dyno for their cai and does show a slight dip in low end power vs the stock filter: http://www.knfilterchargers.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-8607TB

The TRD filter is nearly identical to the K&N. They're also the same price, and they both fit the Camry and Toyota Matrix.

The difference is noticable, but the factory airbox is kind of a pain to get closed again... Especially since the TRD filter seals so tightly...

i read somewhere that the K&N improved gas mileage. can anyone confirm that? also, what's the part number for the filter?

...as i was saying.... K&N normally, always, puts out a quality product. I have always heard from articles that changing your filter to K&N helps the airflow over the stock/restrictive filter.
