I'm pretty sure this is some where, sorry about reposting it if it is somewhere on this.

Just wanted to know if anyone did 215/40/17 on the stock rims, i know it says to use specifically 215/45/17. i know if i put 40 on it would give the wheels more of a low profile look. also lowering the car. also if anyone went lower than 40 on stocks.
does anyone have pics?

i completely forgot to mention that i am lowered on tein s-techs. 2" drop.

Why? They're just going to look funny because you're shortening the diameter of the tire while leaving the ride height the same. Sure, the ride height would lower 5mm from the sidewall difference - but you're also creating 5mm of space between the top of the car and the fender.

If you want to lower a car, lower it properly. If you want it to "look" lower - get a wider tire that then has a taller sidewall (225/45/17) and it'll fill more of that fender gap.

IMO. if you go with a lower tire size.. the more you will muff up the rims... again just my opinion

215/40 will be fine, not much of a difference from a 45

pointless. Your gaining nothing. 1/2 inch drop?

If they are cheaper by a significant amount, sure, go for it because the side-effects are almost nill but if not, stick with the OEM specs until you upgrade the wheels.
