Default New speaker system

I want new speakers and sub for my 06 xb. I have installed speakers in my house but never in a car, for my setup i was thinking. I am trying to do this cheap.

Clarion SRG920C 3.5-Inch 2-Way Coaxial Speaker System
2 X Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers (Pair, Silver)
Boss Audio BASS600 8-Inch Low-Profile Amplified Subwoofer (Single) (under passenger seat)

Is this a good setup and will it fit. Would i need a new amplifier (i would prefer not to go through rewiring the car), but if so what is a good cheap amp. I don't need my car louder just sounding better. Also which frequency bass blockers would you recommend

Thanks for your help

Not one of the best setups and pretty much you're downgrading the current setup. You're better off with the stock unit for now. I rather save up some more and get some better speakers, sub and amp.

I believe the fronts and rears are 6.5" on the xb. I would at a least get components for the front and not mess with the rear at all. If you want under the seat subs, Kenwood has some nice under the seat subs. There are others out there but I personally hear the Kenwoods myself.

But if you're on a budget, just get a new HU, keep the stock speakers and go with a decent sub and amp.

It pretty much boils down to this. How much do you want to spend?

^^ hes right. A new head unit would probably make your stocks sound a bit better. And if you really look you can get a head unit with plenty of custom settings perfect for adding a sub. And it will sound fine with your stock speakers. But to really "upgrade" the sound your going to have to spend some money on some nice speakers....and thats that. I would personally just add a sub with an amp with a decent HU. Then call it day.

My speakers rattle like crazy even on low volumes and low bass, could that be stopped with adding a sub and HU. I've been holding out on a head unit till there is one with zune compatibility. I'm not looking for the best sounding system just better.

I highly doubt there will be a HU with Zune capability. Apple is the de facto standard on the market. Even Microsoft knows that. The only thing we will get is an Aux input along with iPod input. Even then, Bluetooth is going to be something of the future instead of having an input for iPod or the Zune on the HU.

As far as speaker rattles, it could be anything. It could be the rivets vibrated loose, to a blown speakers or something vibrated off and fell inside the door. Nothing is going to stop a speaker rattle until you find the cause of the problem.

How many channel amp would I need, and what watt would you suggest. Also any suggestions for sub that would fit under the passenger seat(BASS600 got good reviews, and I need the trunk space), and amp for under 100, and speakers for around 50 a pair.
