Default 07 scion tc AEM FIC problem

I have the aem fic in my car N/A till next weekend. All my maps are at 0 so the fic shouldnt be doing anything. But my idle is off and it 3000rpm to 3500rpm it just stumbles.

change the O2 map to voltage and set it at about 3.2 for everything. that's what i was told to do, and the injector response time should be about 600 us

Check connections then. If all the maps are 0, then the F/IC shouldn't be doing anything at all. I ran for a while with my F/IC hooked up and all blank maps.

Was it a plug and play harness or did you do the wiring yourself?

I had the same problem. Boomslang gave me a bad harness I shipped it back and they sent me a fixed one. The crank in and crank out wires are flipped (at least mine were)

Yea it is a Boomslang harness i thought that was the problem the whole time. Cause your right all maps 0 the fic should do nothing. It also did throw the check engine light.

yeah mine ran like crap even with the O2 voltages, it sputtered at idle and threw misfire codes, so i unplugged it and now everything runs right.

iv done the same thing on my 07 and it ran great for a day then turned to poop, it was the o2 map. I had heard some say they ran a compleatly zero'd out cal with everything set to percentage but in my case and a few others it didnt work out. check the code and im sure it will have something to do with the o2.

yeah i had everything on percentage and 0 except the O2 was voltage set to 3.2, and 3.13 and both still ran like crap. so i just said whatever and unplugged it. after each time i plugged it in i let it idle for a while too and still no go.

any codes? newer boomslang harness have a 10kohm resistor on the o2 leads, that would be something to look into.

here it is on my harness (i peeled off the heatshrink that hides it but should give you an idea)

Yea there is no 10k resistor on the O2 sensor wire. Maybe ill try that before the turbo install this weekend.

some have said that they have had miswired harnesses but it wasnt many. some have even said they have had issues with having resistors on the cam or crank (dont remember which ones they had an issue with). so far iv never had an issue with resistors on the cam or crank...only on the o2 is what iv had an issue with.
