My gf had her hundai elentra in and out of the shop for years w/ some new recall issue.... I was wondering, does the XB have any recalls on it? I know my seat squeeked a lil, but thats probly a one off deal.... but i was wondering if there is any BIG probly, like a gas line that could be cut in a crash, or anything like.......

 

I haven't heard about anything too big. There are TSB's(technical service bulletin) out for the gas tank on some xb's b/c the gas nozzle couldn't go in all the way when refueling, a dash rattle at @3krpm, some xb's a/c doesn't get that cold...Those are the only one's I can think of. Try searching under "tsb", maybe get more exact answers.

 

there is a recall for the dash rattle at 3k? what caused it?

 

It's a tsb(technical service bulletin) not the same as a recall but theres a few different causes , one being something behind the speedometer housing.

 

dash rattle just the clear cover over the speedo. no biggie. just a tiny bit of felt tape behind the gauge takes care of it

 

Mine came with the felt on the plastic cover and I have lots of rattles all over the dash , more than my 81 bimmer and my 87 supra and my 69 bug all put together , oh well , at least this car's new.
