Default Integrated Side Mirror Turn Signal Housing replacement

Long time lurker, first post. I got my tC two weeks ago, and I love the car. But today, I did something horrible to it. While parking in my garage, I hit a wooden cross beam with the turn signal housing, and it now has a huge crack in it. Does anyone know how much it is to replace these? Can I just get a replacement for the light housing, or do I have to get a whole new mirror? Any help is appreciated. I feel like crap right now.

Unfortunely you have to replace the entire mirror. Just like I did.
Which side is it? I might have the part from my old one.

It's the passenger side mirror. The whole thing has to be replaced? How much was it? Does the plastic part not come off if you have to change the bulb or something? Or is it just that the dealer only sells the whole mirror? Thanks for your help.

A truck crushed my driver's side view mirror a few months ago. To replace the whole unit (with mirror), it's about $215 from the dealer ($150 from mcgeorge, ask for Paul). On my passenger side, the LED signal housing was cracked by someone else. That cost about $30 from mcgeorge to replace.

To replace just the light, use your fingernails to pry off the plastic cover. After doing so, you'll see the light housing. Also, pop off the plastic cover from inside the car. Just disconnect the wiring and a philips to unscrew it.

All right. If the part is only $30, then I'll be pretty happy. I'll send McGeorge an email. Thanks a bunch.
