Question for 5 speed manual guys
Well here's what happened to me, I was running royal purple, it was ok like someone said before, I recently switched to Amsoil and now my transmission grinds when I go from 2nd to 3rd, when I was running royal purple it would only grind when going from 4th to 3rd, bad syncrho I guess. Our service manual says we can run gl-4 and gl-5, the amsoil is gl-5, but for some reason my transmission is not liking it, so I'm going to try redline mt-90 since it says is for gl-4 hopefully that will fix my problem. So if you're already having grinding issues I would stay away from amsiol, not saying its a bad product, I'm sure it is but it didn't work out for me, just wanted to share that.

i know many people that encounted those problems also, using the above tranny oil's, ive had OEM of course which reverse grinded like there no tommrow i was goona take it in but some said change your gear oil and try redline so i did that,it was good at first then after or before 3,000 miles, hard to shift and reverse grind came back, tried eneos and been perfect i say for about 6,000 miles smooth as butter..but hey you gotta experience it for yourself and you may have different results
