So I was thinking about changing the Antenna on my gen 2 and thought of different options. Option 1: get the shark fin type antenna from canada or Option 2 :get something in the toyota world. So I went with option 2

Yep, looks damn good. I too would like to know the part number and particulars. I assume you had it painted, since you have the special paint for your RS? Cost? Does it work as well as the original? I'm very interested in doing this myself.

The antenna is form a corolla and it is a sirius/xm antenna. The factory antenna is still inside the car in the side panel for am/fm antenna. I only listen to sirius and not am/fm so the factory antenna is still in the car. The Corolla antenna needs to be painted to your factory color unless your Scion is the same color as a corolla. As far as cost goes,I have a friend at toyota that ordered the antenna for me, and my best friend owns a body shop. So the only thing I paid for was the cable that runs from the antenna to the sirius antenna by the radio. I think the antenna was like 70.00 dollars but I did not pay for it since the dealership guy hooked it up. Please email or pm me with any questions. MickeyBoy, the Shark fin from canada is http://www.visualgarage.com/home.html . They make a shark fin type like on BMW's if you want to go that route.

 

Drats, I was hoping for one for regular FM! I have to fold mine down every time I put a load on my racks and me forgets to put it back up.
