Are the outside door mirrors really heated ?? Does anyone know for sure?? I thought I read that they were, but I have never seen them work, like melting snow or ice. Just asking.

No heat :nope: UnFocused 03-02-2005, 04:56 AM what he said.... erichlf 03-02-2005, 05:00 AM Definately not heated. Wish they were. Chimmy3 03-02-2005, 11:49 AM you know i was wondering the same exact thing 2 days ago... Actually I think they may be. When i turned up the heat and set the vent dial all the way right (defrost mode) the ice off the mirrors melted pretty quickly... whereas snow in near the same location did not (so it likely wasn't ambient heat from the windows). UnFocused 03-02-2005, 02:50 PM They are not! I called up scion myself!- misprint in manual!!! Lonely_Raven 03-02-2005, 04:50 PM I wish they were in a big way. If I were to mod my mirrors, the new ones would HAVE to have that feature! Fujiz_xb 03-02-2005, 05:00 PM just open your window and point the vent that way..lOL BiggSugg 10-25-2005, 03:10 PM Does anyone know of anywhere that you can order some aftermarket heated mirrors for the xB? But, I'm not willing to make the prototype and to "sail into uncharted waters." I'd like to follow some other trail-blazer on this one. Thanks to anyone who takes this challenge and does this DIY. RPM Chimmy3 11-19-2005, 12:19 PM for that site they do list the xB as an application, but we have to call for availability... so maybe they have something or will make something if theres enough interest. another company I've found that have after market heated mirrors is www.muthco.com however the xb isnt listed as an app |
