Default Longo = Altezza?

I can't see any difference between the Altezza tail lights on ebay and the Longo tails except for the price and warranty. Anyone else notice this?

The fact that they misspelled "lights" in their advertisement makes me think that they "miswired" an LED or two. lol

Haha! Good catch, I didn't even notice that. I strongly suspect that these are made in the same chinese factory that makes the Longos. The only question is did they use cheaper LEDs or circuit boards in these. Maybe I'll find out...

You sure you want to risk that? I've had nothing but great success with the Longo's, and I think I paid about $200 shipped or something like that. Think I paid less.

The quality of the lights are great and I would definitely buy another set again if for some reason mine broke.

Well, all of the posted links to Longo tails are dead, the SL discount is dead, most of Longo's pics are dead and the Longo ebay price is now $350 with no mention of a 3 year warranty. Since they're pretty obviously made in the same chinese factory, why not? My $100 Ebay turbo manifold is working just as well as a $350 Treadstone manifold made from the same iron, cast in the same mold, in the same chinese factory.

The tails I'm looking at range from $150 (Anzo style) to $280 (Longo) on ebay.

Thanks, I did just that... sort of. I went with the ebay Anzos in smoke. I'm sure the tail light assemblies are the same and hope that they use the same boards and LEDs. We shall see...

I'm tempted to take them apart and change the flasher LEDs to amber. I think they'd look better.

I got my tails a few days ago and installed them today. I like them very much. I'm not sure if they're identical to the Anzos but they are labeled "Eagle Eyes" and made in Taiwan.

Pics and video soon...

I think you should do it and post a DIY so that when mine go bad I can reference your DIY. It would make my life easier so yes, do it!

One of my SMT Power LED's died in my two six LED dome panels roughly six months after install, but it's now approaching twelve months and the rest are fine (also the two times six in my Eclipse). They came from the Phillippines, but I'm pretty certain the source was Hong Kong. I'm not complaining, as long as only one dies, I can live with it -- but it is an interesting experiment !
