Installed Mobile HID
I had these pics on my phone and figured I would post them up to kill some time at work. I installed some Mobile HID 5000k bulbs in place of the stock bulbs and added some 3000k bulbs in my fogs. Awesome product and very easy to install. I'll post some better ones when I get a chance. These were just two quick shots at the apartment and when I got to work that night. Total time to install was about 2 hours I would venture.

Do the Moblie HID comes with instructions? I want to do mine how is the cut off? Did you order the relay or is it straight to the OEM plugs? Are the blasts weather proof? I live in AZ but once in awhile it rains here with crazy dust storms so. The Fogs OEM with the 3000K bulbs? I know tons of q's take some install pic if possible of the fog lights. Just bought my xB but it my only ride and I have to keep the mods to a minum cause I need to it to get to work and what not.

Installing the kit for the headlights is very simple. The hardest part is finding a place to mount the ballasts. I'll snap a pic of what I did there, but I accomplished it by finding a nice flat spot and some industrial velcro. Doing the fogs require you to remove the front bumper like I show in my first pic. Not entirely difficult, but takes a little while. After that they install just like the headlights.
Here are a few more pics. Mind the dirt, been awhile since I've been able to give the car a good cleaning and I park under trees
. The pictures suck and in no way do the lights justice but it's the best I can do with my phone at work.
Ballasts - Driver side is in the same spot opposite side.

I was just asking, I don't have HID yet. (My sarcasm sometimes gets me in trouble but this isn't one of those times, I was just wondering out loud.)
The only thing I've been told by somebody who understands electronics a lot better than me is that the initial amp draw on start-up with analog ballasts is in the area of 10-12 amps (which is why a dedicated relay is required), while the digital ballasts only draw 6-8 amps on start-up which makes them much safer to run off the OEM wiring w/o a relay.
Keep in mind that this is just something I've been told, I have no expertise. I would think that as long as you use the relay with the analog ballasts, you'll be just as safe as with the digital ballasts. I don't know if either one offers any other benefits.

I like the size of the digital slim ballasts - I slipped mine into the little pocket/box frame right behind the headlight. It fits perfect and it's out of the way but close enough.

According to the website, Mobile HID no longer makes HID kits for cars...or am I missing something?
Im looking to get 5000k set for my lows and looking to get oem fogs and put them in there as well. Any suggestions of where to buy?

Go with HIDextra, I have their 5000k kit in my low beams and love it.

Update: As of about 2 weeks ago my passenger side headlight went dead. Ordered up some replacement bulbs from HIDextra hoping that would take care of it. No dice. Going to test the old light in the drivers side ballast to confirm but it looks like one of the slim ballasts may have died. Disappointing after only a little over a year.
