i know this may be a stupid question but i just want to make sure..
a rock hit my window a week ago and now the crack is all the way across the window.
and i was wondering if the warranty would cover that?
i say no its not covered under warranty but my brother said it could be and wont hurt to ask.

it is covered by your car insurance as a comprehensive loss, which does not count against you.

^But you have to pay your deductible...if you have one.

Unless you live in Florida or one of a handful of states that consider it a critical safety item, you'll have to pay the deductible. In Florida, insurance companies cannot require a deductible.
(I thought it was a nationwide thing until I moved out of Florida. I wondered why people were driving around with giant cracks in their windshields.)

Sometimes it doesn't matter how far back you are, you're going to get cracks/chips. I'm on windshield number 2 already. Just had to pay the $20 to get my visor re-tinted. Go Florida!!!
i had a couple chips but when i went to the car wash, they had a windshield repair guy there from next door, and he went ahead and fixed my window then when we went to finish the paperwork by calling the insurance company they said they wouldnt cover it since the guy did it before we called the insurance, he got mad and left and i didnt have to pay anything rofl
Thanks guys! It just so happened to happen on a day I was in a hurry to get to work where keeping a safe distance was not in my vocabulary :) lol. And I didn't even know it happened till I saw a foot long crack in my windsheild after work because where the rock hit was on the very edge of the windshield..
How much Is it to replace it and where did you get yours done at?
