Default axel backs - JIC vs Blitz :another exhaust newbie question

What are the pros and cons of these two exhausts? I am leaning toward the JIC right now. Sound first hand accounts would really help ne out.

Is the JIC loud in an annoying way on the expressway?

Of the two, which has the most noticeable power gain..as slight as that may be?

From what I have read so far, the Blitz is meek in sound. is that really true?

I have the blitz axle back and love it. I has a nice note to it, but not loud enough to get harrased by the police(when i want that I drive my catless scooby) .
Construction and quality is nice. The welds and bends are clean. And install was a snap. Took me about 30 minutes, in the dark on a frozen parking lot. Hardest thing are those damn exhaust hangers.
PowerGains, I dont know. It reves a little faster, and seems a little quicker in the butt dyno. Once I find a job I am going to do headers, intake, and custom mid pipe and that should open things up a little more.

Here are some pics of the exhaust

http://rs-scooby.com/albums/album37/Untitled.wmv there is a short, bad quality video for you. I had to shoot it myself. Camera was placed on the ground right near the tip. Maybe I can get my brother to help me out and get a better clip for you this weekend

Blitz is a loud exhaust only when its on the right car & the horsepower is there to back it up. For example MR-2 turbos, supras, rx-7, skylines, evo's, subaru's. I never heard the JIC exhaust so i dont know what it sounds like, but its up to you what you choose.

i have the blitz as well and have to say that you almost don't notice that there's an exhaust on the box (for sound). I can't say if there's a power gain since I drive like an old man anyways but it sure looks nice! i doubt you will ever have problems from the police with regards to your exhaust being too loud with the blitz.

someone with a JIC will have to chime in for that side of the comparison..

Performance wise, all axle backs will deliver the same amount of performance across the board. This is mainly because of the exhaust restrictions further up the pipe.

Thats very true, all there is to worry about now is looks. What you think looks good on the car. :D

GReddy works great for me...but you'll need to get your intake and headers first to notice any difference in how it pulls. I just got mine installed all together and I can feel the difference from stock.

I have the Invidia g200 and like it. The body of the exhaust is bigger than others though and itf not installed correctly, may bang against your right rear spring.

THE ORDER IS IN-BLITZ IT IS!!! It should be here later this week or the following Monday. Thanks for your help everyone! I plan on getting a cai later this year so the quieter exhaust may work a little better.

Default I got mine from hopupracing.com for $348 including S&H

There are some sites that have better prices before shipping and handling but when you go to check out, the S&H shoots up on ya. The S and H was free but I'm sure it was rolled into price but it was the best deal I could find at the time.

I really like the look of it. ...fills the cut out nicely- I just got it on today actually. It's pretty tame and the acceleration feels a bit better on the expressway. This is a great exhaust if you travel on the expressway a lot or have a child/children. Police stops will not be a factor with this one.

i found hopupracing to be one of the better deals also...
i also found this site https://www.modacar.com/Merchant2/me...F&Store_Code=M
338.00 shipped ... modacar.com was 10.00 cheaper shipped ... not to much of a difference .. but i know what you mean about other sites coasting much less but you start adding the shipping it comes out to be much more than what they advertise it for ... thanx for the reply tho ...
