cashvillem1 05-25-2011, 03:48 AM how much shipped to 29707
xD_kidd91 05-25-2011, 03:56 AM pics and vids once installed. thanks!
xdrajicialxd 05-25-2011, 03:57 AM sorry, it's not for sale. i just posted this thread to show what the header looks like, since not that many people have it. I got mine from andysautosport.com. it's $255 plus shipping. then you have to get the Check Engine Light eliminator from fastscions.com so the computer doesn't throw codes and mess your engine up.
xdrajicialxd 05-25-2011, 04:01 AM pics and vids once installed. thanks!
yea, i'll be sure to upload a video of it. i'm having the shop instal the header, Check Engine Light Eliminator, 2.25 inch mid-pipe, and a 2.25 inch high flow cat. so it should sound pretty gnarly with my injen c.a.i and custom cat-back exhaust with tenabe axle-back.
TierAngst 06-06-2011, 02:38 AM Installed yet??
xdrajicialxd 06-06-2011, 02:04 PM im getting it installed in about 5 hours actually. :icon_biggrin:
xd king 06-07-2011, 05:57 AM right on i cant wait to hear that bad boy
xdrajicialxd 06-07-2011, 09:49 PM GOT IT INSTALLED TODAY! I can definitely feel the increase in acceleration in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear; and in 4th i can feel and increase in top end power. It sounds a lot deeper under acceleration, downright mean with the exhaust :money: for some reason it's a lot quieter when idling though, maybe it's the increased exhaust flow. :ponder:
CXTKRS1 06-08-2011, 09:56 AM Can't wait to see a vid and maybe dyno results.
homestretch123 07-29-2011, 05:52 PM Any updates on this? Vids? Id def like to hear how it sounds. I'm looking into getting the dc sports 4-1 header.
BlkxD 08-10-2011, 02:12 PM The headers are now on fastscions, says gains are 12.1hp, 9.8 tq with only the header.
http://www.fastscions.com/weapon-r-4-2-1-street-header-scion-xd-2008-2012-953-116-109.aspx
Are any special tools required to install this? Does it just bolt on to stock components?
Is this a DIY type deal or would I need to go to a shop?
xD_kidd91 08-10-2011, 03:32 PM Ii call bs on this one. No way. Ii wld like to see dyno lol
Roller_Toaster 08-10-2011, 04:34 PM There are dyno proven results of basically the same power gains from a header on an xb2...its not THAT unbelievable.
xD_kidd91 08-10-2011, 04:39 PM are you comparing the xb2 to our little xd? headers can make that power, but not in our car. I would say 6hp tops headers alone. Our stock setup is already well designed so I highly doubt we're gonna see 12.
Roller_Toaster 08-10-2011, 05:16 PM If they have a cat in them, I can see it. If its already a free flowing header though, then I can understand your doubts.
xdrajicialxd 08-10-2011, 05:47 PM Hey, sorry for the terribly slow response. I've been busy getting more stuff done to the car and getting ready to move into my apartment and start UTI. I'll take a video in the next few days and post it right away. I doubt it makes 12hp, it feels more like 6. But like I said, it is really noticeable under hard acceleration in the first 3 gears. And it seems to give the car more passing power when I downshift to pass. It's definitely more free flowing than the stock header. But due to the position of the header, you'll need a lift and an air socket with some serious extensions to get to the bolts. But if you have those things, as well as a welding torch you can probably do it yourself. The next thing I'm getting done to the exhaust is replacing the s-pipe that has 2 cats in it with a catless 2 1/4" pipe.
xD_kidd91 08-10-2011, 06:18 PM oh cool beans. how much was ur tuition? Im thinking about going to uti after im done with my business degree lol. either that or just go to lincoln tech in md since its closer.
xdrajicialxd 08-11-2011, 03:22 AM I'm taking the Ford F.A.C.T with deisel tech course, which is 2 years total. And it's around 50k in tuition for the whole program
xD_kidd91 08-11-2011, 04:47 AM I wont thread jack this but cool beans dude. gl
xdrajicialxd 09-09-2011, 07:15 PM here's the long awaited sound clip of my exhaust with all the mods.

Nateson 09-10-2011, 01:19 PM Sounds great, good work!
TierAngst 09-15-2011, 03:07 AM Sounds angry!
CXTKRS1 09-15-2011, 03:26 AM Sounds great.
two.0XD 09-20-2011, 03:33 AM how does all that effect your mpg's? I was thinking about doing the same thing, but worried how that would effect the mpgs. nice sound.
xdrajicialxd 09-20-2011, 08:51 PM i still average 31mpg, and i drive like a jackass. i can get 35-40mpg cruising at low speeds (40-50mph)
two.0XD 09-22-2011, 01:05 AM So just to be clear, you have the weapon r headers, with a mid pipe and the strup cel relay, and you still get 31 mpgs...thats pretty good. Can anyone explain to me how the strup cel relay works? and why you would want to full your O2 censer
CXTKRS1 09-22-2011, 01:12 AM So just to be clear, you have the weapon r headers, with a mid pipe and the strup cel relay, and you still get 31 mpgs...thats pretty good. Can anyone explain to me how the strup cel relay works? and why you would want to full your O2 censer
You basically trick the computer into thinking the O2 sensor's are different so that the check engine light is off. In some states a check engine light being is a reason not to give an inspection decal and if they find out you have removed CATS then your ___ might be paying a nice fine. For some reason though the domestic guys can tune this out and don't need a module.
two.0XD 09-22-2011, 09:43 PM Ha, I see, so do I assume this is done with a wide band O2 sensor right? (So the regular sense is just relocted correct?) How much do tunes cost anyways?
xdrajicialxd 09-27-2011, 11:33 PM tomorrow i'm taking my xd to a friends shop to get the work done on the exhaust that i've been wanting for quite some time. I'm finally getting the catless s-pipe installed, then getting the muffler cut off before the resonator and replaced with a straight pipe that splits to dual bully exhaust tips. so it won't have any cats or resonators, just a straight pipe and dual exhaust tips. i'm running 2 1/4 inch piping for the straight pipes so i don't lose power.
YELOSUB 09-27-2011, 11:46 PM Awesome...Check out my new setup from RPM in the other thread...Glad to see some performance things starting to happen for the xD's...And so everyone know's, the midpipe by RPM will mount up to the Weapon header :)

xdrajicialxd 09-29-2011, 04:09 AM thanks :icon_biggrin: i'll post a good video tomorrow. i just had my friend take that one cause i couldn't wait to share the deafening roar. lol
CXTKRS1 09-29-2011, 05:32 PM How bad is the drone at interstate speeds?
xdrajicialxd 09-29-2011, 06:07 PM pretty loud, not gonna lie. it's on the verge of being too loud for me. but i like it. i'm getting my car dynomatted anyway, so that will make it better for me.

The dynomat should help out alot, their is very little sound deadening on the floor pan.

ThisorThatxD 09-30-2011, 12:57 AM jeeze that has to be mean when at WOT.
YELOSUB 09-30-2011, 02:48 AM Yea mine is LOUD when I get on it...But if I'm holding it at a steady speed it's tolerable...Helps having a kick a$$ sound system too :) By the way, your exhaust sounds great and looks awesome...
homestretch123 09-30-2011, 04:13 AM xdrajicialxd where you located in south jersey? id love to hear this in person
ScionCyclist 01-03-2012, 04:19 PM pretty loud, not gonna lie. it's on the verge of being too loud for me. but i like it. i'm getting my car dynomatted anyway, so that will make it better for me.
Have you done any sound insulation yet? I recently added a axle back straight pipe and wanted to know how much Dynamat would eliminate the dull roar at hwy speeds
xdrajicialxd 01-03-2012, 11:24 PM xdrajicialxd where you located in south jersey? id love to hear this in person
I'm in Corbin City, it's near Tuckahoe in Upper Township. But i recently moved to coatesville pa, since I'm going to UTI in Exton. and i couldn't bear the sound of that straight pipe anymore, so i got a Vibrant glass pack muffler. Now it sounds nice and sporty without being ridiculous.
