I have read here that people are successfully running 18x8.5's on their tcs. Can anybody confirm the widest tyre that they are running without rub. Also, please mention the size of your wheel (rim) and the offset if its non-standard.

This is not a repost. The sticky thread only details XA's and XB's really. I did a search and could only find wheel (rim) sizes and focused on the diameter. I'd personally prefer to stick with a 17. I am concerned about tyre width primarily.

Haha, 255 is an exaggeration of course. Obviously a typo, but the question remains...

FYI, our fitment team draws the line at 245/35-18 on a 18X8, 5-100, ET's 40 to 49mm's depending on the wheel design!

Yes yes. 225 does not equal 255. Thank you every one. I've been pwned.

But seriously.. Is anybody running anything wider than 225 on a 17 in wheel? Is there rubbing.

Ive got 245/35/19s on the rear on a 9.5" wide wheel with slight rubbing since Im lowered about 2.5" in the back. Im gonna do some trimming to take care of that. 225s up front lowered 2" no rubbing whatsoever.

maxxxspeed how much does it extend out of the wheelwell?

they dont extend out of the wheelwell at all (the car doesnt look like a rollerskate). Just have to trim some plastic and do a slight fender roll just to make sure its ok. Im tucking in the rear right now, so if it wasnt that low I doubt there would be any rubbing.
