I'm looking to replace the stock front dash tweeters, as I blew them...Does anybody have an extra pair they are willing to sell? Thanks

 

buy a set of tweeters aftermarket...why stick with stock...

But i will still have all the other speackers stock with a stock radio...i can only hear them crackle at low volume...plus i figure the stocks are gonna be cheaper...

Ok, I'm confused... I just ordered 4" SPEAKERS to replace the dash units... and they're TWEETERS? Bah, don't tell me they have a crossover installed! Is there any reason I can't use the speakers, or should I get a component system?

 

I replaced mine with Rockford Fosgate Punch FRC4204, $38.95 from CarDomain, plus 800 Hz bass blockers. They go nicely with the stock door speakers ... only problem is, now I can hear all the faults in poor quality MP3s.

You sir... have made my day. ;) I'm replacing all the factory stuff with my Pioneer and Sony gear.

Grr.... how do I get rid of the "view this user's profile" box to the left?

 

i took my car in for an install the the guys told me they were 3 inchers and they replaced em sounds good now.

 

Don't buy sony, it's a bad car audio choice.

 

I don't think they're tweeters. I believe they're a full range speaker with a filter. I just replaced my front speakers with some edi 6000 components and put the tweeters in the dash locations with a custom bracket I made.

 

If you want cheap, drop by the flea market and get some tweeters for $2

 

sad thing is those will still sound better than stock.
