Wheelskins of Berkeley, CA makes steering wheel covers for our cars but i was wondering what other people have done WITHOUT going to a quick-release, debagged steering wheel.
i want the feel of genuine leather and preferably contrasting color for stitching for a more race car look.
advice? otherwise the wheel skins thing i think is like $50 for the part. the factory grey offered by Scion looks junky imo. i would get a black with maybe white or red or blue stitching. :ponder:

wish i could help, i just went to NRG hub/quick release and aftermarket steering wheel when i had my xD.
seems like your set on not going that route, but i can at least tell you its extremely easy to switch over to and switch back to normal if you ever decide to try it out.

xDTool, so how much money for the NRG hub/quick release setup? and does that work with the factory airbag and radio controls? (also, what is the purpose of having a quick release steering wheel?).
So far i've found 2 options:
1. Wheelskins (about $70). Has leather (perforated also available) and stitching in different colors
2. JPM Coachworks. High end, hand made work which even has alcantara if you want it.
Quality materials, various colors to choose from. From about $400 and up depending
on what you want.

runs about 300$ for all 3 pieces, wheel, short hub and quick release, subtract 100 if you already have a wheel or dont want a quick release.
you wont be able to maintain airbags or radio controls unless y ou rig them up. this wasnt a problem for me because i was running an aftermarket HU with no radio control, and because i hate airbags.
