View Full Version : Rear rims/tires with spacer rubs fender

I've bought 18" rims for my 2004 Release Series 1.0 xB but noticed the front wheels sat wider than the rear. So I ended up buying some wheel spacers to bump the rear out a bit. Unfortunately they rub from time to time when I drive, so I ended up removing them and just leaving the stock rim/tires on.

How can I get the inside of the rear fender (the inner lip) removed/shaved down without having to remove the entire fenders or repaint them? Is that even possible?

Thanks,

Daniel

rolled the fender with a fender roller. google it will show you the tool i have one but im located in texas it bolts up to your wheel hud with a arm and it folds in the lip to give you the extra clearance needed.

some performance shops will roll it for you usaly from 50-75 a side.

or MAYBE you can exchange your spacers for smaller ones ....

Thanks for your help. Yeah I see now that is what I need. I am trying to find somewhere local who does this service, as I do not feel comfortable enough to rent one and try it myself.

I am hoping someone in the Los Angeles area will see this and refer me!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the advice! I ended up having a kid from craigslist do mine for 50 bucks, which solved the rubbing problem.

Thanks again!
