I had to swap from megan headder to stock for state ref , now that i went to put the megan racing headder back on I realized I can't re-use the gasket , and when I tried anyways it just sounds horrible , leakin like a mofo , so.........
Where can I find a new gasket? I'm pretty sure that if i went to a parts store they would only stock the oem style gasket , which will not work , so.......any idears folks? thank. or if I could buy a strup , dc , or el prototypes gasket. thanx for any future help.

Your best bet is to get a Toyota manifold gasket (aluminum). The part number is 17173-21020. I think I paid around $21 for mine. It took a couple of days to get. If you're lucky, they'll have it in stock.
They also have gasket material (organic?) at most auto part stores. You just cut out yourself. I'm not too fond of that route, though.
edit: doh! didn't read the part about the OEM piece not working....why is that? I put a new OEM manifold gasket with my DC header...how could the Megan one be different? :ponder:

the question is...why not? The holds all should line up... You sure your gasket was upside down? hehe...

the megan racing flange is perfectly flat versus the stock one is indented towards the pipe , like it's caved in.

Yeah, once the gasket is pressed, it can't be reused. The only thing to do is buy a new gasket...

no no no , i mean the stock gasket has little bulges in it to fit the stock manifold better whearas the megan racing headder is perfect flat so the bulging pieces of the stock gasket have no where to go but make it all leak
i hope they make the make a gasket thats rated for exh manifold. shoot i need my car today ( easter sunday) too. well theres goes that , i wonder how i'm even gonna go around to buy the stuff i cant afford? lol , just my luck , lol

I know this is off subject, but I thought I'd just add something here. Be sure to take good care of the doughnut gasket at the other end. I ordered one when I put my header on just for "good measure" and quickly returned it because a) I didn't need it after all, and b) that damn thing is like $45.00!
The price of some of these parts is just embarrassing :money:
