Unsure?
I did a search. Perhaps since I'm a newb here I don't have a good grasp on the search function.
Anyway, looking around various sites, I gather that the front speakers are 6.5, rears are 5.25 and the tweets are 1 inch in a factory 12 xb. Some sites say 6.5 in all four doors and I think that may be off.
My bottom line question is: What are the stock measurements for front, rears and tweets? I could measure them by pulling of the panels but prefer to do it only once.

This is correct. I have an 08 but the speakers are the same, the Back speaker has a piece of plastic around it to make it fit in the larger hole a 6.5 fits perfectly in the back.

You can easily fit 6.5 or 6.75" in the front doors and 6.5" in the rear doors. I put 6.5" in my front doors and needed a plastic mounting ring to cover the gaps around the edges. They came with the speakers and Crutchfield also supplied a pair of rings. I'm not 100% sure about the rears since I haven't replaced them yet. I just know that the rears are 5.25" but the holes in the door fit 6.5" and possibly 6.75".

You don't need to confine yourself to speakers that fit the factory ring. This is especially true when the aftermarket speaker mounting holes don't match up. All it takes is some 1/2" plywood and a jigsaw to make the mounting panels. A sheet or two of craft foam (look in you arts and crafts stores for that, they come in 2 & 4mm thickness, and various colors) works well as gasketing material. Many of the readers in the XB2 forum have made their own. Just drill out the factory rivets to remove the black mounting ring.
The front door tweeters are 1" diameter, but that doesn't take into consideration the aftermarket's mounting system. Some filing and sanding is usually needed for a good fit. Small dabs of epoxy will secure the mount (forever if you put too much)

I am running Boston acoustic sc 65's and sc60's. Everything fit perfectly. For the front I cut the factory speaker out of its plastic ring and put the sc inside of that. They sound beautiful, you don't even need to remove the factory rivets in front.

I'll be drilling out the rivets and using the adapter plates provided with the speakers. I remove and install rivets all day long at work so 12 of them is only 10 minutes including clean up.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be installing 6.5's in all four spots.
