Default So i went to the dealer today.......

So i went to pick up my plates and i ask the lady how much is the labor for installing the springs and struts. She says she doesnt know to aask my sales guy. So i ask him and he says wll gee i dont know. So we go to parts department and this lady is trying to help me , so she's ravaging through her desk trying to find some type of document on how much the struts, springs cost. Well she cant find anything so she says she goin to the back to find out. When she comes back she tells me that they dont carry the springs/struts yet cuz they havnt came out. And that they will range from 1200-1500???????????????????? I was like HUH? and then she tells me that with labor iam looking at like an 1800 job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How far away from this measurement do the TRD springs/struds stand?

struts 500
springs 210
labor 800- dealers charge 400 alone for spring install. figure the same for the struts theres your 1500
its a ripoff if you ask me, not the parts but the labor cost. they say it takes upwards of 5 hours just to install springs

They will just charge you 400 for the job. The springs have to come off to get to the struts so they can double up on the labor if they are already removing the part.

The dealership I went to charged $500 for springs installed. The shocks cost more then springs, but they had a package which would be $1000 for both installed. Still expensive, and if I would have known that I would not have them done the day I picked up the car (springs, I did not get shocks) I would not have done it.
I did not want to drive off the lot stock, but they got the springs in the next day and I had it done 2 days later. Still, if I knew that, I would have gotten the H&R springs and done them myself. Oh well.

Scion's policy is to have the price for the components clearly posted including installation cost. My recomendation would be to go to another dealership and just look around. You should get a discount on the labor if you get them both installed at once.
