I just purchased the Injen Polished Aluminum Engine Cover and inside the box was the cover, 4 small round rubber grommets and also 2 larger, thicker ones and two small nuts.

QUESTION, there are no instructions on how to place the rubber grommets, do the large two slide down first over the studs and then place the cover on and then the smaller two thin grommets and then the nut ??

Also, on our factory cover, there is some type of a fiberglass insulation glued to it, do we remove this and reglue to the Injen Cover ?

Last but not least ..............

I need 4 really nice looking nuts to replace those factory nuts with ? I seen someone had nuts that almost looked like spikes, where can I get those ..

Thanks

For the spikes, give randode a try. www.randode.com

I would imagine you would install the large grommets on the top two studs, then with the cover on, install the 4 smaller grommets on the top two and front studs.

As far as the insulation goes, I gently pulled mine off the stock cover, then I used Velcro with adhesive backing and put two Velcro strips on the cover and pressed the insulation onto it. The insulation sticks to Velcro quite well. You can pick up the Velcro at any hobby shop like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or anywhere that has sewing materials.
