Default Tire Size Check

I checked the tire size fitment thing and couldnt find any info. I am looking to put a 225/40 on my trd 18s and was wondering what kind of issues if any i will run into?
has anyone had this setup?

I have it dropped on the trd springs. My issue is the pirelli the trd wheels come with are pretty narrow and provide no rim protection at all.

Motegi MR3 18x7.5

225/40/18

Stock springs

Only slight rub at full lock. I've heard even with a 1.5" drop, the rubbing doesn't get worse. I just ordered Hotchkis Coil Springs. I'm not too worried.

Doesn't matter what size tire you're going to put on there. With 18s, you're going to need low profile tires in order to keep the overall diameter close to stock. I have TRD springs, with 18s and 215/35 Toyos. It was okay in So Cal, but driving around here in Virginia, one of the rims got a slight dent due to the numerous potholes. I got a set of stock rims, and put some 205/55 tires on there, and they ride MUCH nicer, and fill up the wheel wells as good as the 18s I had on before.
