Default Which CAI intake? Injen or K&N?

Hey all... I ordered the K&N Blue Typhoon Intake from mcgeorgeparts a couple weeks ago, but they say that its not expected in until June 30th. Now I saw a pic of the Black injen CAI and it looks really good. What should I do?

Wait for my K&N to come in or get my refund and get the black injen? Do they yield the same hp results, sound, etc....?

Thanks in advance - The Chad

I cant speak for Injen, but if youre thinking about another CAI just because one company didnt have it in stock, i'd perhaps try and look around some more. I bought mine off of e-bay and it was well worth it.

I got my injen the same day they were released i cant speak for the noise cuz i never heard the K&N but they should be the same. I say go for whats cheaper i was going to buy K&N cuz it was cheaper but i bought injen cuz the shop where i bought it gave it to me dirt cheap cuz it had no filter so all i did was go and buy a K&N filter

I got the Injen... I love it!!!
The deep throaty tone & the shrill sucking sound of the throttle body just sends shivers up my spine! It's well worth the money!

K&N is just great because of their filter... Injen is populer because their dedication for performance parts and their engineered design....

well i have the k&n cai and i am EXTREMELY happy. So far, no problems what-so-ever. It sounds GREAT. Not too loud, not high pitch, and def. not ricey. I did notice little gains at higher rpms.

Well I spoke to mcgeorge and they just signed up with an account from injen and should have the intakes around june 30th also. So when they come in I will just have them swap the K&N for the Injen.

IMO The polished black will look better than the blue. The only thing I might do is buy the K&N filter which might be a little better than injen's filter.

I've sold a ton of INJEN intakes and everyone seems quite pleased w/ it. I can't keep them in stock. I haven't had anyone ask for anything else except for Weapon*R.

I just intalled the K & N silver on my SSM yesterday (6/13) and I'm extremely happy. Took me a while to get it from Hop Up Racing. On back order. You'll find that everywhere from what I've been reading. Love the sound and can notice the gains in the mid to high RPMs. Excellent buy.

Here are some dyno results from K&N and Injen keep in mind that dyno results vary depending on when and where they are done .
You should see around 6-7hp gains from K&N or Injen

installed my injen CAI about 2 week ago and it feels great. the money is worth it. u can feel gains at 3k rpm and the "VRRROOMMM" sounds sexy. my intake makes a turbo whistle for some reason. the whistle is normal because ive seen a lot of posts people saying that they have a whistle. i love that whistle because when i pass by, people think i have turbo. hahaha

I got the Injen polished for looks, dyno on both is basically the same, and because I know Injen has good quality products. I was going to get the K&N blue until I saw it and thought it looked funny under the hood.

I got the Black Polished Injen and honestly it is amazing. The whistle and the growl when you punch it is awesome. Plus i have seen the K&N blue under the hood and the tube is skinnier then the injen...so as far as looks go the bigger tube looks like it fits better. But the gains and sounds are pretty much the same. The black matches under the hood soooo nice too IMO.

For all interested we have both colors of K&N (blue or silver), and both colors of Injen (polished and black), in stock right now.

Check them out here:

By the way what color is your tC? The K&N blue looks great but not on every color tC.

I have the silver K&N. Easy to install, looks great, sounds great, feels great-K&N hardware also yields a professional touch.
