Default Let the leering begin...

So I brought my new ride home on Saturday morning (06 Nautical Blue 5-speed), and I figured I'd get at least a couple of looks, simple because it was new and shiny... Boy did I underestimate! Now, near as I can figure, the one dealer in town is the only one for almost 120 miles in any direction, so even though the dealer has sold quite a few tCs in the last year, I'm assuming that not all that many have stayed here in town.

Regardless, it seems everytime I stop at a light, I catch someone staring at my car. When I pass any of the local auto-parts stores, a number of heads routinely turn to follow me. To top it all off, last night I went through the BK drivethrough to grab some dinner. Some guys in an nearby parking lot were watching me go by (I've kind of gotten used to that by this point). As I pulled up to the menu sign, they were all but out of my sight, but I could tell they were doing something... By the time I got my order and cleared the edge of the building, all of the guys had crossed 100 yards of open parking lot, crossed 4 lanes of steady traffic (on foot), and taken up seats in the grassy area bordering the BK lot. I gave them a quick nod as I pulled away from the building, and they all stood up, recrossed the 4 lanes and headed back to their truck. I couldn't believe all the trouble they went through just to get a better look.
The funny part is that I haven't even done anything to it yet (aside from factory effects).

Anyone else have any experiences like this? What's the most anyone has done to get a better look at your car?

In my area, people don't seem to care, but that's probably because they're driving $50k cars. ;)

There are already 4 tCs in my area (which is small, our town only has a population of about 10,000)

The closest Scion dealership is a 3.5 hour drive away.

I live in the Seattle Area and manage a pizzeria. So sometimes I have to (BIG FAKE SIGH) take deliveries. It's very pleasing to have my customers look at my tC and say, "Hey! nice car!" Then I get the usual questions...What is it...Who's it made by...Who makes Skyon There have even been a couple times where they came out and did a quick walk around . Other than that, yes I have had people do the lookie look when just driving around!

Honesty though, I should be charging Scion for all the "marketing" I've been doing for them J/K

Yea, my car gets a lot of looks too. I never get tired of that. Even now, almost a year later.

I was checking out a Porsche Boxter with some awesome ground effects on the interstate as he went by and he slowed down to come back and check out my car. then he put it on the floor... and he was gone :-) Mine gets the "what is that>" all the time beacause it is debadged with Lexus foglights

All the more reason to take use your car if you vacation somewhere else.

Yeah, my neighbors saw it today, and they said "What a hot car!", and I'm pretty sure they said it involutarily... hey--it's a natural reflex!
