According to my body shop, my car will now be delayed another few days while they source a hatch glass and the frame which is required to install it. Apparently they didn't order the frame and that part is the one which is on limited supply status. They told me the one they found for my car was being overnighted from NY someplace.

This whole deal with the roof glass has become a MAJOR issue. I hope that none of you has to experience this because it's been an absolute nightmare. I've been without my car for three and a half weeks now (in the shop for three weeks and a day), all for a broken piece of ROOF GLASS.

I went through it too buddy.. my wind deflector shattered on my tC... took the dealership 2 weeks to get the part and install... I agree I hope no one else has to deal with this problem, because when the glass shattered it all fell on my head in the car, luckily I was wearing my sunglasses and none got in my eyes. I'm still finding glass shards in my car. Somehow the factory bezel for the glass was bent, and it put pressure on the glass causing it to shatter when I opened the roof... here's a pic... luckily for me the dealer concdided it was a defect in the car, and didnt accuse me of breaking it myself...

 

My car goes in for body work next week. THANKFULLY it is supposed to only take two days.

I'm getting the rental through Enterprise. I bet it won't have a sunroof

 

pmpnxb, that sucks dude. Fortunately (i guess!) it was your wind deflector instead of the rear glass panel. That requires the whole headliner to come down and all kinds more work.

It sucks, but I'm trying to be patient.
