Did my 30K service at the stealership. Everything is fine but they recommended the following:
1. Fuel Induction Service...$119
2: Power Steering Flush...$83
3: Rear Brake Service...$41
...overprice!

Did any of you 30Kers had the above service worked on your vehicle? The front brake apparently is fine. I would assume that the front brakes would wear out faster than the rear. Not sure why they "recommend" the rear brake service.

 

yea that is very overpriced... do some shopping or use the recycler papers if you guys have it

 

Unless you have been using some really bad gas, I can't imagine the fuel system needing any service at 30K.
Power steering flush at 60 or 80k maybe but not at 30. To be perfectly honest I have NEVER serviced a car with power steering other than topping off fluid. May not be a good thing but....
Rear brake service can be accomplished with a can of compressed air. Just blow out the dust and check for leaks and anything amiss.

Whenever a dealer's minion (service writer, whatever) "recommends" service beyond what the manufacturer recommends without having some concrete evidence from MY car to show that it is necessary I remember something my father once told me: "Never ask a barber if you need a hair cut."

Do any of us doubt that the service folks get 'points' of some sort for writing up extras?
