Ok...I know I'm probably gonna get flamed but...
First off i'd like to start off with saying yes I have tried the search engine and yes I did get results...sorta, but NO I didnt really get the answers I wanted. So if your just gonna go and type something about hitting search, I already have. With that aside I'm planning to get the two following mods pretty soon. A cold air intake, and an exhuast. CAI I'm debating between Injen or K&N. Exhuast, I'm debating between Rs*r ExMag GT2 or the Blitz Nur-Spec. So, which one peoples? I'd totally go for the K&N 95% but I'm also liking the Injen, the thing that is holding me back is that I've been hearing alot of the Injen Intakes are messing with the MAF sensor, or something like that.
I would really look into adding the AEM intake. Not the cold air that you get from the factory, but the Short Ram Cold AIr. It was originally made for the Echo, but fits the xB and xA perfectly. That is what I put on mine and it gave a good power increase, plus it has a nice deep growl. The filter placement is the same as the one you would get from the dealership, but the air has less distance to travel. As far as exhaust, I don't know that much about the 2 you are looking at. I went for the Borla, not because it was offered by the dealership, but because I know and trust the brand. I had Borla on my Eclipse, and trust it. It has a nice sound if that application has crossed your mind.
I want something that has ***** (loud), meaty, and deep sounding without sounding like those stupid exhausts that you hear on those civics with HUGE ___ spoilers 19in wheels and sound like a lawnmower. Also about the air intake...how are short rams? I've havent heard much about them (yes I've tried search already
) except that they still take in hot air. Someone wanna give me more information on these kind of intake systems?

That is true about most Short Ram Intakes, they do take in hot air because they are so close to the engine. There are those few though that are located outside the engine compartment, like the xA, xB, and Echo, because the engine compartment is so small. That allows for it to be able to have the ability to pull the cold air like a CAI. That is why I like my Short Ram Cold Air, because it has a little bit lowwer growl than your average CAI. As far as my whole setup like mentioned before, it sounds great. A powerful sound, not a ____ed off bumble bee sound like all these civics on the road. I haven't actually heard a single xA or xB that has real high pitch lawnmower sound like a civic when it is tuned. I can send you pictures of my intake if you would like to see the location of it.
i have the injen short ram and the blitz exhaust on my box im very satisfied with both
the intake added a nice tone to the exhaust and got complements on how good it sounded by nonscion owners and then i added the blitz exhaust because i like blitz have always heard great things about them but telling the truth you wont like it at first cause it doesent sound to mean at first but give it a while and once it gets broken in it sounds real good well at least to me everyone has their own opinion and might not like how it sounds but thats what i know about those
