Default does the 02 sim work or not

I have seen so many people post about this item i have trying to figure out if this thing works like zpi says it does or are they full of crap. I figured out that most people that posted about the nonfouler thing was either crazy or it works on only some tc's(strange). So the question is does it work with eliminating the cel of not.(o2 sim)

Well, I did the antifouler mod and it worked perfect and has for over 8000 miles now. My brother cautioned me that when I do it, make sure I use a 1/2" drill bit and make sure I open it up completely or it will not work right. For $3.00, it was kinda silly not to try it.

did you use two antifoulers and drill a hole in just one and not the other? or did you use two and drill holes in both? or just one with a hole drilled in it?

Hope that makes sense...

You will use 2 of them and drill a 1/2" hole in just one. When you buy them from any autoparts store, they come in a 2 pack.

when you use the nonfouler your ecm is not getting a correct reading for your o2 sensor because when you do that u pull it out of the pipe.

Any mod short of installing a first cat only tricks the ECU into thinking the first cat is there. This "trick" is only $3.00

Do the math

Ok then why isn't there a CEL then? b/c that's what causes the CEL right? bad readings?

Its inaccurate b/c it is being fooled into thinking everything is fine... therefore an accurate reading would be that there is no Cat. and there is a 'problem" according to the o2 and then a CEL is appears on the instrument panel

hope that makes sense

I'm sending my sim back to ZPI for testing and diagnostics. I believe that we'll get it worked out and we'll all be back and running with no CEL's soon...

I'm so glad I got a working sim from nexus and waitied to install both the sim and the header at the same time. There are soo many posts about upsetting expierences with sims its insane. I've never seen the check engine light on my car, 5100 miles atm.

Second 02 sensor is used *only* for emissions system of the ECU, so the "correctness" of the reading will not affect the car's performance in any way, as long as the CEL is not triggered.

First sensor, the air-fuel ratio sensor, is the important one, so it does not matter if you do the anti-fouler for the second sensor or the O2 sim - as long as it keeps the emissions system tricked - you will be ok.

has anyone contacted Alphawerks about this issue? i've been driving around with the CEL on for quite a while now. James with Creative Compacts said he would contact me when he had a fix for it but I've yet to hear from him and doubt I will.. so .. my question is.. what would be the best way to go about getting this problem fixed? It's driving me nuts.
