i wonder if there is enough room back there for a eaton roots type blower. i read toyota had to redsign the intake manifold from the camry because of the tC's limited space. otherwise, I'd imagine Toyota would of released a roots-type blower for the tC (just like the camry/tacoma, and previa?) instead of using Vortech's centrifical unit for the TRD supercharger kit.

speaking of ecotec, GM should have released the 230 hp 2.0 turbo 6-speed from the European Vauxhall/Opel Astra coupe.

it is a tight fit but the cobal s/c is small so we will see but im sure the bolts will not light up lol tap the block though and might be good to go

but the main issue i would see is heat building up back there but you can always intercool the s/c

Yes, I saw the Sky at the Minneapolis auto show last Feb. It is actually a pretty cool car. However, it is still not super fast, but fast enough considering its size.

I would MUCH rather have a more linear roots type blower than the centrifugal model that TRD may or may not ever release. The low output that they are selling with the TRD wouldnt be so bad if the boost was building from the get go.

hmm i always thought centrifugal supercharges were better than Roots superchargers because roots heat soak more and cant have a fmic. i know they have methanol injection because thats what the focus dudes use with the jrsc....im a boost noob so some of what i said may not be correct

You might be better off asking on a Chevy/Saturn board.

The engine is a 2.0 to 2.4 4 cyl.

Why would you think that supercharger would work in a tC.

Why would you even consider using that supercharger in a tC?

Chevy/Saturn parts in a Toyota? Do you want your car to break down?

It's an eaton Roots type... Not a Chevy/Saturn type.
The displacement of your engine... 2.0 to 2.4 is not that much of a matter for this little supercharger.

No one said anything about putting Mitsubishi parts (16G turbo) into a Toyota.

Why would anyone put a CT-26 in a tC? It's the only Toyota turbo that isn't too small...

That would be pretty cute though. Get pulled over, pop the hood, turbo says Toyota right on it. What's the cop going to say?
